PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed PT Antam has upped its ferronickel and gold production and sales targets for 2017.

The miner on Friday told shareholders that ferronickel production in 2017 was expected to be 30% higher than that achieved in 2016, at 18 500 t, following the completion of its Pomalaa ferronickel plant expansion project, in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, gold production for 2017 was targeted to reach 2 270 kg, which was up from the 2 256 kg produced in 2016, as the Pongkor and Cibaliung mines were expected to increase production.

Meanwhile, PT Antam said it was also targeting some 24 100 t of ferronickel sales during 2017, compared with the 19 300 t sold in 2016 while gold sales were targeted at 11.4 t.
