Papua New Guinea’s Independent Consumer and Competition Commission has cleared US-based miner Newmont’s acquisition of Newcrest.
Newmont is advancing regulatory approvals for the transaction, which it announced in May this year.
Last month, the Canadian Competition Bureau issued a “no action” letter clearing the proposed acquisition.
