JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – LSE-listed Petra Diamonds has recovered a 232.08 ct white diamond at its Cullinan mine in South Africa.
The D colour Type II diamond is said to be of exceptional size and clarity, with the company stating that this was a “magnificent” example of the large, high-quality diamonds for which the Cullinan mine is known.
Petra expected to sell the diamond in the second quarter of the current financial year.
