North American lithium company Patriot has announced the resignation of Nicholas Vickery as MD, with effect from Tuesday.

Vickery is leaving the ASX-listed company a year into the job to take up a position at a major lithium group.

“Despite the recent difficulties in the lithium industry, the Patriot team has continued to work hard and keep true to the company’s vision of targeting high-grade lithium projects in North America. This has led to the discovery of Patriot’s Gorman project, which the company plans to drill this quarter,” he said.

Following the resignation, Patriot announced that Hugh Warner and Phil Thick would remain on the board. Warner, who was founding chairperson of Prospect Resources, would take on the role of executive director.

Founding CFO of Prospect, Chris Hilbrands joined the board, taking up a position of general manager.
