PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Newcrest Mining has restarted operations at its Ridgeway mine, at the Cadia Valley operation in New South Wales, following a fatality on September 6.
A mine technician lost his life at the mine site, resulting in Newcrest temporarily suspending operations at the mine.
Newcrest said on Monday that the company was reviewing its safety processes and initiatives and implementing further steps at all operations to improve safety performance.
