New cone module increases production capabilities

Mining equipment manufacturer Terex Minerals Processing Systems reports that it has launched the new MC1300 cone module in response to customer feedback, increasing the application and production capabilities of its existing modular product range.

The modular product line consists of several predesigned static and semistatic crushing and screening ‘plug-and-play’ modules. Setup time and ease of operation are aided by the simple design of the modular product range. Each module bolts together on site and requires minimal on-site wiring.

Terex modular product line manager Mark Crooks comments that, with the addition of the MC1300 to the company’s modular product line, it is now able to offer customers increased production and greater application capabilities. “The MC1300 cone module can be matched with other units in the modular product line to create a system capable of processing up to 270-million tons an hour,” he notes.

Further, he notes that the MC1300 cone module features the robust Terex TC1300 (1300 mm) cone crusher powered by a 225 kW electric motor. “An unrestricted feed opening and a full range of configurations for short and long throw gives the TC1300 high versatility, while the all-roller-bearing design improves crushing efficiency,” he explains.

Additional TC1300 features include hydraulically adjustable closed-side setting, easy manganese changes and a weather-protected control panel with user-friendly controls.

Other key features of the MC1300 module include an extra-heavy-duty I-beam frame and a galvanised steel structure, including walkways, steps and guard rails. The module structure and all its components are CE compliant.
