JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – To ensure that interested parties in Australia, Asia, the US and the UK are fully aware of developments at Minemakers, the junior mining company has engaged Foster Stockbroking and EAS Advisors on a nonexclusive basis to act jointly as its marketing and corporate advisers.

The joint appointment is designed to cover these countries directly and through published research, the TSX and ASX-listed company noted on Monday.

Minemakers MD Cliff Lawrenson explained that as the company moved towards the completion of its acquisition of Senegalese company Baobab Mining and Chemicals Corporation (BMCC), gaining the support of both Foster and EAS was a strong validation of Minemakers’ strategy.

“We look forward to working closely together in the coming months and are very excited by the prospect of driving the Baobab rock phosphate project into production in the near term."

Minemakers announced on April 27 that it had reached an agreement with Agrifos, a group of privately owned fertilizer development companies, whereby Agrifos would exchange its Baobab project for a significant position in the equity of Minemakers.

Foster executive chairperson and CEO Stuart Foster and EAS founder Eddie Sugar commented: "We are bullish on the nutrient space and are impressed with Minemakers’ strategy and team, and their plans going forward around their proposed acquisition of the Baobab project in the Republic of Senegal."

Foster Stockbroking, a Sydney, Australia-based boutique investment bank with a dedicated focus on small-mid cap companies, had a record of executing transactions, providing advice and after-market support.

New York-based corporate advisory firm EAS supported companies operating in the mining, metals, energy, infrastructure and agriculture sectors and functioned as a knowledgeable partner and adviser for all strategic, corporate and capital structure decisions.

Mineworkers said Foster and EAS both had an impressive record in promoting and working with ASX-listed companies over the past years.
