MICROMINE showcases its mining solutions at MINExpo 2016

27th September 2016

MICROMINE, the leading provider of intuitive software solutions to the mining and exploration industry, will showcase its advanced mining solutions at MINExpo 2016, held 26 – 28 September 2016 in Las Vegas. MICROMINE will preview to Geobank 2017, the latest versions of our leading data management solution, along with Micromine 2016 which was released in May of this year and Pitram, the world’s leading underground fleet management and mine control solution. The MICROMINE team is located at Booth 1079.

Held once every four years, MINExpo is regarded as the world’s largest mining supplier conference. This year’s event is located at the Las Vegas Convention Centre and will be attended by 18,000 exhibitors whose products, services and technologies serve the mining sector. More than 40,000 delegates are anticipated.

MICROMINE’s mining experts will showcase the capabilities of the company’s leading mine control and management reporting solution, Pitram. Pitram manages and processes mine site data in real-time. As a scalable solution, it is suitable for open pit and underground mine construction and production.

MICROMINE North America Manager, Dallas Areaneda, explains “Pitram records data related to equipment, personnel and materials, providing an overall view of the current mine status and increasing clients’ control over their operations. Greater control allows operations to increase production, reduce costs, and improve safety and business intelligence capabilities”.

Another site benefiting from Pitram is Cayeli Bakir Isletmeri (CBI), an underground copper and zinc mine located on the Black Sea coast of north-eastern Turkey. CBI Mine Manager, Phil Jay, comments “Since its implementation, Pitram has assisted CBI to double the number of mine activities achieving targets. Of the mine activities monitored, there has been a 10% average increase in productivity”.

Micromine 2016, released to the Australian and International mining communities earlier this year, is MICROMINE’s leading exploration and 3D mine design solution which allows users to capture, manage and interpret critical data.

Micromine 2016 provides explorers with an in-depth understanding of their project so prospective regions can be targeted more effectively, increasing the chance of a project’s success. Miners are provided easy-to-use modelling, estimation and design tools to simplify day-to-day production tasks.
