Metair CEO Riaz Haffejee has resigned after two years at the helm of the components manufacturer.

His last working day was March 31. He will, however, be available for two months, up to the end of May, to ensure a smooth handover to the new CEO.

Metair says Haffejee is stepping down “to pursue other opportunities more in line with his personal career goals”.

Metair’s highly experienced CFO, Sjoerd Douwenga, has been appointed as interim CEO, and Anesh Jogia, the group’s finance executive, has been appointed as interim CFO.

The company says a process to appoint a permanent CEO has been kick-started.
