MDM receives order to execute Sibanye Gold’s Driefontein DP2 CIL Circuit Installation Plant

MDM Engineering Group Limited , the minerals process and project management company focused on the mining industry, is pleased to advise that it has been awarded the engineering design, procurement, construction and project management contract for the execution of Sibanye Gold Limited’s (“Sibanye Gold”) Driefontein number 2 metallurgical plant gold project.

Sibanye Gold is a proudly South African gold mining company with three principal operations, namely Kloof and Driefontein in the west Witwatersrand region and Beatrix in the Free State. Sibanye Gold is the largest producer of gold from South Africa and amongst the top ten largest gold producers globally.

The scope of work for the DP2 project includes the EPCM of an 180,000 tonnes per month true Carbon-In-Leach plant that can be expanded with a duplicate plant to 300,000 tonnes per month in future. The project is scheduled for completion in the last quarter of 2014.
