Master Drilling names new chair as Ledger exits

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Following the recent resignation of its independent nonexecutive chairperson Peter Ledger, Master Drilling said on Thursday that Hendrik van der Merwe had been appointed to replace Ledger with immediate effect.

Van der Merwe would also be appointed a subcommittee member of the company’s risk committee and nominations committee as well as chairperson of the nominations committee.

In addition, Christopher O’Neill had been appointed independent nonexecutive director and would, with immediate effect, replace outgoing director Roger Davey.

O’Neill was also appointed subcommittee member of the company’s social and ethics committee, nominations committee and audit committee, and was also named chairperson of the social and ethics committee.
