Manufacturer aims to attract business in mining sector

FIELD-PROVEN FM Control Panels & Engineering supplied three pumpstation panels to a water-pumping project, in Mozambique, last year

Local instrumentation and control manufacturer FM Control Panels & Engineering showcased several of its products, including generator panels and extruder panels, at the Electra Mining Africa trade show, which took place in Johannesburg last month.

Speaking to Mining Weekly on the sidelines of the event, FM Control Panels & Engineering owner Frikkie Myburgh said the company was using the show as a platform to attract business opportunities in the local mining sector.

He highlighted that the company had also supplied products to customers in other African countries – for example, supplying three pumpstation panels to a water-pumping project in Maputo, Mozambique.

He told Mining Weekly that the company provided high-quality, cost-effective, turnkey products and solutions, suitable for mining applications and according to customer requirements.

The company’s service offering included, but was not limited to, generator panels, programmable logic controller panels, extruder control panels, refrigeration panels and air-conditioning panels.

Myburgh pointed out that FM Control Panels & Engineering also offered aftermarket maintenance, spares in stock and repair services.

The company was working on three projects involving the supply of refrigeration panels to local shopping malls, which were all due for completion by the end of this year.
