Lucapa sells more stones

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Diamond miner Lucapa Diamonds has generated another A$9.6-million in revenue from its most recent sale of 1 349 ct of diamonds from its Lulo project, in Angola.

The latest sales parcel brought to A$32.5-million the gross revenues generated from the Lulo mine in the March quarter, and included the A$22.5-million raised from the sale of the 404 ct gem discovered earlier this year.

Lucapa said on Thursday that the latest parcel sale achieved an average selling price of A$7 126/ct.

In total, some 12 125 ct of Lulo alluvial diamonds have been sold, generating gross revenues of A$51.3-million.
