Kumba nonexecutive director Matt Walker
JSE-listed Kumba Iron Ore has appointed Matthew Walker as nonexecutive director, effective April 1.
He will represent parent company Anglo American on the Kumba board.
Walker joined Anglo’s finance team in 2007 before being subsequently appointed CFO of the group’s copper business in Chile and CEO of the group’s marketing business.
He will also be a member of Kumba’s Strategy and Investment Committee, as well as a member of the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee.
Kumba chairperson Terence Goodlace says Walker brings to the board extensive industry, financial and commercial experience, as the company continues to build a resilient and competitive business.
