PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Junior Capricorn Metals has reported a maiden ore reserve of 21-million tonnes at its Karlawinda gold project, in Western Australia.

Grading 1.06 g/t gold, the project is estimated to contain some 713 000 oz.

“The release of the maiden ore reserve for the Karlawinda gold project is the culmination of many months of dedicated work by our team. This ore reserve provides us with the confidence that the Bibra deposit will form the basis for the development of the Karlawinda gold project in the near term,” said Capricorn executive chairperson Heath Hellewell.

The ore reserve estimate was based on information derived from the feasibility study currently under way at the project, which is due for release in the September quarter.
