Specifically Designed for Southern Africa High Seam Coal Mining
Joy Global (Africa) has expanded its underground continuous miner product line by adding the Joy 12HM37-C high seam continuous miner. This continuous miner was specifically designed and developed to meet the high productivity requirements of the Southern Africa underground mining industry.
With its impressive combination of cutting power, proven components and reliability, the Joy 12HM37-C miner is expected to carry on the Joy Global legacy of durability and productivity with a focus on zero harm.
“The new continuous miner offers a cutting capability of 30 tonnes per minute with a maximum cutting height of 5100 mm” says Deon Wessels, Product Manager Mining. Other features of the Joy 12HM37-C continuous miner include an integrated scrubber for more effective dust control, and a poly-coated chain to reduce noise levels by up to 10 dBA.
Joy Global (Africa) is currently providing pricing quotations for the Joy 12HM37-C continuous miner. Since the delivery of the first Joy 12HM37-C continuous miner in January this year, Joy Global has received and order for the supply of 6 units this year.
