INDIA EXPECTED TO IMPORT MORE COAL THAN CHINA

India is expected to import more power station coal than China by 2014. Local production is not meeting demand. India’s Coal Ministry wants to increase underground production, which, in 2012, was 51-million tons, compared with 557-million tons in total.
