Indaba aims to facilitate smooth travel, accommodation for delegates

TRAVEL MADE EASY Africa-based Tour d’Afrique, the official housing and tour provider for the 2016 Mining Indaba, has partnered with the event for the third year to book hotels, transport and tours for delegates

To make travel arrangements as easy and convenient as possible for delegates, the Investing in African Mining Indaba has partnered with accommodation and tour provider Tour d’Afrique, State-run carrier South African Airways (SAA) and SkyTeam Alliance airlines.

More than 7 000 delegates from over 100 countries and territories spanning the globe are set to converge on Cape Town when they attend this year’s Mining Indaba from February 8 to 11 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre near the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

South Africa-based Tour d’Afrique, the official housing and tour provider for the 2016 Mining Indaba, has partnered with the event for the third year to book hotels, transport and tours for delegates. The company can assist Mining Indaba attendees in several languages, including English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, Dutch and German.

The company will also guide delegates as to which sights and activities should not be missed before, after and during the Indaba.

The team at Tour d’Afrique can assist delegates with hotel accommodation; booking air travel with preferred airlines, or one of the many offering discounts to Mining Indaba delegates; tourism and golf packages; and car services.

As the official airline partner, SAA is offering discounts to Mining Indaba delegates flying on the airline to Cape Town from anywhere in the world between February 2 and 16. Fare discounts will be determined by the origin of travel, flight schedule and cabin type and require the discount code MI2016.

The airlines of SkyTeam Alliance are offering Mining Indaba delegates fare discounts, using code 2992S online, based on the origin of travel, flight schedule and seating class. Travel must take place between February 3 and 16.

SkyTeam comprises 19 international airlines serving 1 000 destinations in 187 countries with more than 15 000 flights departing daily. Mining Indaba indicates that discounts up to 15% on 20 SkyTeam member airlines are available through an online portal.
