TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Following an assessment of commercial production indicators, Canadian ore processing firm Inca One Gold has declared commercial production at its Chala One plant, in Peru, effective from February 1.

The TSX-V-listed company on Wednesday said key parameters were met, including average production throughput of more than 50 t/d, ramping up to the full 100 t/d capacity.

The Chala plant now comprised a full-service 100 t/d capacity facility, with weighing, sampling and metallurgical test facilities on site, along with crushing, grinding and carbon leaching circuits, and full material handling and tailings disposal facilities.

This enabled the company to receive and fully process gold-bearing ore from legal small-scale miners and produce loaded carbon for off-site smelting to recover gold and silver.

Inca One expected that ramp up to capacity would be complete by the end of the second quarter.
