PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Hannans Reward has announced that all permits over its Lapland nickel/copper/platinum group elements project, in Sweden, have now been granted.

Over the next 12 months, the company would undertake environmental assessment, mappings, sampling and prospecting, as well as geophysical surveys and bedrock drilling at the Lapland project.

It was hoped that these activities would improve Hannans’ understanding of the characteristics of the project, said MD Damian Hicks.

“We believe the Lapland project is located in Sweden’s equivalent of the Fraser Range province in Western Australia. Several permits cover the spine of the regional gravity feature and Hannans’ first field programme will commence in August.”

Hicks noted that Hannans would also continue its search for a joint venture partner to assist in exploring the Lapland project.
