Gubhani Exploration

Black-female-owned, cutting-edge surface exploration drilling company Gubhani Exploration was established in 2008. With projects led by a geologist with 13 years’ experience in working with drilling contractors and mining companies, Gubhani is a well-rounded service provider that understands and meets client service and compliance requirements.

The company distinguishes itself through outstanding core recovery; it strives to provide its clients with the best information possible and boasts an average core recovery of 95%. It also sets itself apart through its unique monitoring and reporting solutions, providing clients with real-time, secure access to borehole data.

One of Gubhani’s achievements is that the company completed a large-diameter bulk-sampling drilling project for coal exploration, development and mining company Coal of Africa. The company seamlessly carried out drilling in the greenfield stages of the project, which is located in an environmentally sensitive area in Mapungubwe, Limpopo.

Gubhani is currently also responsible for geotech drilling at diversified mining and minerals company African Rainbow Minerals’ Nkomati nickel mine, in the Machadodorp area of Mpumalanga, and also offers other geological services. The company generally drills holes sized between BQ and T6146.

Gubhani’s values are aligned with the mining industry’s values of doing business with integrity and working safely, and the company has maintained a safety record of zero lost-time injuries since its inception.

The company’s sensitivity towards the natural and social environment is evident from its distinct site rehabilitation work and its commitment to improving the working and living conditions of staff.

Gubhani cares about its clients’ projects and helps them achieve their business goals through its first-rate expertise in technical drilling and geology.
