We manufacture pumps around the world and make approx. 1 pump every 2 seconds somewhere in the world each day. Grundfos is a pump solution provider
What are its applications?
Grundfos covers a number of applications and solutions but in the mining markets we are able to supply pumps suitable for most water and wastewater based applications
What makes the product unique?
The Grundfos products are focused on energy savings and best efficiency that the pumps can produce thereby saving the customer money on energy. This can also be achieved with VSD drives.
Where was the product developed?
Denmark is where most of our R&D is done
Has the product been imported or manufactured locally?
All our products are brought in from the manufacturing sites as well as components so that we can do some local assembly
On which projects, if any, has the product been used successfully?
There are many namely solar borehole, submersible dewatering, booster, circulating etc
Is the product exportable?
We are responsible for sub-saharan Africa from our HO in Johannesburg and distribute throughout the countries in Africa that we are responsible for
Background on the company marketing the product?
We have a distribution network throughout Africa and locally as our main channel but we also deal directly with some clients
