JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Aim-listed Goldstone Resources has appointed Richard Lloyd as an independent nonexecutive director, effective immediately.

This comes after the resignation of nonexecutive director Andrew Bell, who will focus on his other business interests.

“We thank Andrew for his contribution and support over a period of transition. We are now on a stronger footing having completed the recent fundraise and restarted exploration activity at the Homase-Akrokerri project,” the company said in a statement.

The Ghana-based mine is situated next to AngloGold Ashanti’s 42-million-ounce Obuasi mine and Golden Star’s Prestea mine.
