JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Gold Fields on Monday announced that its attributable gold equivalent production for the three months ended September was expected to be about 559 000 oz.

All-in sustaining costs (AISC) and all-in costs (AIC) for the third quarter were expected to be about $1 074/oz and $1 096/oz respectively.

Costs for the full year, however, were expected to be lower than the guidance published in February, Gold Fields noted.

The company revised its AISC guidance for the full year from $1 125/oz to about $1 090/oz, while AIC guidance was revised downwards to about $1 130/oz from the previous estimate of $1 150/oz.

“Gold Fields remains on track to achieve its production guidance for the full-year 2014; about 2.2-million ounces of gold equivalent production,” the company said.

The company would release its results for the third quarter on November 20.
