LSE-listed Gem Diamonds has recovered a 138 ct top white colour, Type IIa diamond at its Letšeng mine, in Lesotho.

This diamond, the miner said last week, is the highest-dollar-per-carat kimberlite diamond in the world.

This recovery is the twelfth diamond of over 100 ct recovered in 2018 and set a new record for Gem Diamonds in terms of the number of diamonds of over 100 ct recovered in a year.
