Galane’s name change approved

The TSX-V has approved the application by unhedged gold producer Galane Gold, which owns mining operation and exploration tenements in South Africa and New Mexico, to change its name to Golconda Gold.

The company says the new name, which will take effect from October 2021, will more accurately represent the company of today.

It explains that the name Galane was chosen specifically to complement the now divested Mupane gold mine, in Botswana, and that the new name will make it clear to current and future stakeholders that the company’s focus is now on progressing its Galaxy Gold operations, in South Africa, and the Summit mine and Banner mill, in the US.
