JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – The former MD of emerging magnetite producer Gindalbie Metals, Tim Netscher, has joined the board of junior diversified mining company Aquila Resources as an independent nonexecutive director.

The company said that Netscher, who is also currently the chairperson of ASX-listed uranium explorer Deep Yellow Limited, had operated in several different countries and had worked with joint venture partners from many different countries.

ASX-listed Aquila is currently advancing several projects across Australia, South Africa and Brazil.

Netscher left Gindalbie at the end of October and was succeeded by Tim Harris.

Aquila also announced the resignation of Charles Bass as nonexecutive director after a tenure of more than 13 years. “Aquila has a great portfolio of assets and is well funded. I look forward to continuing my involvement in the company’s growth through my shareholding as I do not intend to sell any shares in the near future other than possibly for charitable purposes,” Bass commented in a statement.
