JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Gold producer Doray Minerals has dispatched its first consignment of gold/copper concentrate from the Deflector project, which recently achieved its first production.

The first shipment from the Western Australia-based mine totalled about 500 dry tonnes of concentrate produced from oxide material mind from the openpit to date, the ASX-listed company reported on Thursday.

Doray also announced that underground development had started. Ore from underground development and eventual stoping would be stockpiled while production would come from treating openpit ore over the next eight to nine months.

Doray gained the Deflector project, in the southern Murchison region, through the acquisition of Mutiny Gold last year. The company also owned the Andy Well mine, in the northern Murchison region.
