PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Unlisted Consolidated Minerals has reported a fatality at its Woodie Woodie manganese mine, in Western Australia.
The company reported this week that a contractor lost his life during exploration activities at a mining tenement south of the Woodie Woodie mine site.
“This is a very sad occurrence and our thoughts go out to the family, friends and workmates of the person involved,” Consolidated Minerals MD Paul Miller said.
He noted that the relevant authorities have been contacted, and a full investigation into the incident would be launched.
