PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Diversified miner BHP has reported a fatality at its Olympic Dam operation, in South Australia.
The company said that 25-year old contractor Nathan Scholz had been fatally injured during an incident on a surface access road at Olympic Dam on April 25.
The company was working with South Australia Police and SafeWork SA to understand what happened and support their investigations. BHP is also conducting its own investigation into the incident.
