Evolution FY output at record, in line with guidance

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Evolution Mining has exceeded its production expectations during the three months to June, with the miner delivering 111 899 oz of gold.

This was compared with the 101 408 oz of gold produced during the previous quarter, and above the estimated 100 000 oz.

The June production figures allowed Evolution to achieve a 9% increase in production during the full-year ended June, compared with the previous financial year, with the miner producing 427 703 oz of gold during the full year, in line with the production guidance of between 400 000 oz and 450 000 oz.

The full-year production was a new record for Evolution, the miner said on Tuesday.

During the period under review, the company’s Mt Carlton mine, in Queensland, completed its first full year of operating, producing 87 952 oz of gold. The Cracow operation delivered 95 064 oz of gold during the period, while Mt Rawdon added 103 755 oz.

Production at Pajingo and Edna May, in Western Australia, improved during the second half of the year following significant changes to both operations throughout the financial year, Evolution said.

Pajingo produced 60 766 oz of gold during the full year while Edna May added a further 80 165 oz to the company’s production profile.

Group production for the September quarter was expected to reach around 100 000 oz,

For the full 2015, Evolution was forecasting production to be between 400 000 oz and 440 000 oz, with the forecast reflecting steady-state production at all the operations.
