South Africa's leading supplier of mobile and semi-mobile crushing, screening, recycling, sand washing, stockpiling, compacting and material handling solutions, Pilot Crushtec reports that it showcased an entire new range of crushing and screening products at the inaugural bauma Africa exhibition at Gallagher Convention Centre, which ran from September 18 to 21.

Pilot Crushtec sales director Graham Kleinhans explains that the equipment exhibited was not only imported, but a locally manufactured range was also shown.

The company used a 1 000 m2 display area to show off the new additions to the range. This included the TwisterTrac VS350 vertical shaft impact crusher, the DoppiaTrac DR400 double roll crusher, the TRIO MJ3042 modular jaw crusher plant, the TRIO MJ4252 jaw crusher unit, the US440i mobile cone crusher, the QJ331 mobile jaw crusher, the QA451 mobile triple deck double screen and the UJ540 mobile jaw crusher.

Further, he explains that the TowerLight VT 8000-FH and the TowerLight VT Hybrid LED have been introduced to assist mines and quarries to work around the clock and provide a freestanding lighting facility that is suitable for operation in environmentally sensitive conditions.

Further, Pilot Crushtec exhibited tooling, materials technology, mining and construction engineering group Sandvik’s UJ540E, which is the biggest mobile crusher that has ever been displayed in South Africa.

Kleinhans notes that bauma Africa is the biggest exhibition of its kind ever to be staged in Africa. “It is an international trade fair for specialist producers of mining and construction equipment and has attracted more than 500 exhibitors from 34 different countries,” he adds.

He concludes that Pilot Crushtec intended to be a major focal point at the exhibition and, therefore, deployed a large contingent of local and export sales engineers, technical specialists and senior management who were at the customers’ disposal during the event.
