THE LINE UP The Yale lift truck range will complement BHBW's already notable offerings

Materials handling solutions provider Barloworld BayWa (BHBW) has introduced Yale lift trucks to the South African market following its appointment by lift trucks and aftermarket parts manufacturer Hyster-Yale Group as a dual Hyster and Yale dealer.

BHBW, which has more than 90 years’ experience in the materials handling sector as a dealer for Hyster, now also offers the full line of Yale counterbalance forklift trucks and warehouse materials handling equipment to South African clients.

The Yale line-up includes warehouse equipment ranging from small pallet trucks to narrow aisle turret trucks, working up to 18.3 m high; electric-, diesel-, liquified petroleum gas- and dual fuel-powered and internal combustion engine counterbalance lift trucks, with lifting capacities up to 16 t; and customer-specific solutions.

Yale Lift Truck Technologies is a leading global materials handling brand, with equipment manufactured in 12 production facilities globally.

The company was rebranded to Yale Lift Truck Technologies in 2023 to reflect its focus on providing technology-enabled solutions in warehousing and intralogistics in particular.

“Yale is a powerful brand with a proven track record, and a perfect fit for BHBW with its customer-driven focus on product and service excellence,” says BHBW South Africa CE Mark Hughes.

“In partnership with Yale Lift Truck Technologies, we look forward to unlocking the potential of the Yale brand in the local market and growing our customer base,” he adds.

BHBW’s support to Yale customers will include materials handling consultancy, options to rent – both long- or short term – or buy equipment, financing solutions, customised fleet management solutions, and productivity-enhancing parts and service support.

“We are delighted that BHBW has joined our strong network of independent global Yale Dealers,” says Yale area business director James Newman.

He adds that Yale dealer partners are focused on customer success and supporting productivity, efficiency and sustainability in the fast-changing intralogistics market.

“BHBW embodies this, with in-depth industry understanding and local knowledge that will enable them to help businesses across Southern Africa to identify the right mix and type of trucks for their operations," Newman concludes.
