Diamcor achieves increased rough diamond sales in June quarter

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – TSX-V-listed Diamcor Mining, which operates the Krone-Endora at Venetia mine, in South Africa, has sold 7 821 ct of diamonds in the first two tenders held in the quarter to June 30, generating revenues of $951 631.

This represented an average price of $121.67/ct.

A further 646.56 ct of rough diamonds, including 148.29 ct of higher-quality diamonds, were withdrawn from the second tender and sale in May, and would be included in a third tender scheduled for this month.

A third and final tender for the June quarter would entail the sale of 5 615.08 ct, including the 646.56 ct held over from the previous tender.

The 13 436.21 ct of rough diamonds delivered to tender for the June quarter would be 470% higher than the 2 856 ct tendered and sold in the June 2015 quarter.
