JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Diamond giant De Beers on Monday announced the appointment of Nimesh Patel as CFO, succeeding Gareth Mostyn, who will take up the role of executive head of strategy and corporate affairs in January.
Patel, formerly Anglo American’s group head of corporate finance, previously worked in investment banking at JPMorgan and as UBS MD.
“Nimesh has a strong record of working in senior finance roles in large, complex organisations. I am delighted to welcome him to De Beers at what is an exciting time in the company’s evolution,” De Beers CEO Philippe Mellier said.
