PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Brazil-focused Crusader Resources has reported a maiden Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant resource at several prospects within its Juruena project.

The maiden resource estimates for the Querosene, Dona Maria and Crentes prospects exceeded 230 000 oz of gold, grading 5.6 g/t, with both the Querosene and Dona Maria targets open at depth and along strike.

The Crentes prospect has a potentially openpittable resource of 846 000 t, grading 2 g/t for 55 000 oz of gold.

“We are delighted to be delivering maiden resources for the first of many prospects at Juruena. The high grades at Querosene and Dona Maria have confirmed our geological model and, importantly, provide a platform for expansion and exploration,” said Crusader MD Rob Smakman.

“Crusader will now focus on progressing a conceptual study to look at the best possible development options for Juruena,” he added.
