Ireland-focused Conroy Gold and Natural Resources on Monday announced the discovery of a new bedrock gold mineralisation, sending the Aim-listed miner’s stock up 3.7%.
The gold outcrop has a grade of 5.6 g/t gold and could be a direct link between the Clontibret gold deposit and the Corcaskea gold target.
Conroy chairperson Richard Conroy commented that the discovery was a strong indication of the overall gold potential of the 17 km Clontibret - Clay Lake - Glenish gold district.
“We are working to both increase the overall resource of the licence area and to develop a mine, initially at Clontibret where we have the current defined Joint Ore Reserve Committee resource."
Clontibret has a resource of 517 000 oz.
