Portable hand-held temperature monitors specifically aimed at laboratory operations across many industries have been launched by the OMSA Group, distributors of  GHMsilverline Handheld Instruments, Germany in South Africa.

The hand-held device is used for the measurment of pH, temperature, pressure and conductivity and is most suited to laboratories in the chemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and water analysis sectors, but any sector involved in the monitoring of production processes can utilise the devices including for use in the monitoring of acid mine drainage.Jan Grobler,Product Manager: Instrumentation at the OMSA Group said “ These portable hand-held monitoring devices have been designed for ease of use, are lightweight at 250 grams, including the battery, and are fully certified and calibrated upon delivery. The case is made of PP including rigid foam inserts with a dimension of 450 x 360 x 140 mm. This is a high quality portable monitor offering datalogger functions with a large double display and waterproof connectors and probes, sensors or electrodes. We offer the customer our respected after-care services and full training on the usage of the probes and sensors so that their functions can be fully optimised.”
