US coal miner Cloud Peak Energy has moved its corporate headquarters to an existing structure at the Cordero mine, outside Gillette, Wyoming, as part of an ongoing process of reducing its costs.
Prior to the move, the head office was at 505 S, Gilette avenue, Gillette, in a building that the company owns. Cloud Peak said on Monday that it planned to sell the building once the transition was complete.
“Cloud Peak Energy takes pride in being a company with Wyoming headquarters and this will remain the case following the Gillette office transition,” commented president and CEO Colin Marshall.
Cloud Peak is one of the largest US coal producers and the only pure-play Powder River Basin coal company.
