PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Project house CIMIC on Wednesday announced that its mineral processing company Sedgman had been awarded a A$155-million engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract at the Byerwen coal mine, in Queensland.

The EPC contract, from privately held QCoal, will deliver an expansion on the first phase of the Byerwen project, which was awarded to Sedgman in February last year, and included the duplication of the existing coal handling and processing plant.

Early works have already started and the project will be concluded in early 2020.
