CIMIC JV wins Woodside work

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Project house Cimic has been awarded a new contract from Australian oil and gas major at its Karratha gas plant, which will generate revenue of some A$190-million.

Cimic subsidiary UGL, as part of a joint venture with services provider Cape, will provide brownfields implementation services at Karratha, including planning and the execution of work scope for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation.

The Karratha gas plant includes five liquefied natural gas processing trains, two domestic trains, six condensate stabilistaion units, three liquefied petroleum gas fractionation units, as well as storage and loading facilities.

The plant can produce some 12 000 t/d of domestic gas.
