Cimic gets A$440m contract with BHP

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Project house Cimic has been awarded two contracts with mining major BHP and its joint venture partner Mitsubishi at the Caval Ridge and Peak Downs coal mines, in Queensland.

The two contracts, with a combined revenue of A$440-million, will see Cimic, through its subsidiary Thiess, deliver mining services for specific components of work at the two mines including the services required for Caval Ridge Southern Circuit.

Work at the Caval Ridge mine will start in 2017.
