PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Explorer Cauldron Energy has increased the resource at its Bennet Well uranium deposit, in Western Australia, by 18%, following an eight-hole drill programme.
The junior company said on Monday that the project was estimated to host about 32.4-million tonnes of resource, with about 18.6-million pounds of uranium oxide.
Some 6.21-million pounds has been classified as indicated, a further 12.2-million pounds was classified as inferred.
“Following the outstanding resource growth achieved with the information collected from these eight holes, Cauldron is now targeting over 100 holes in its drilling campaign at Bennet Well, starting later this month and continuing into the December quarter,” said Cauldron’s head of operations, Simon Youds.
He said that the company was looking to infill drill between existing widespread intersections to improve its understanding of this resource, as well as extend to the north and south.
