TSX- and JSE-listed Buffalo Coal has confirmed that one of its employees, working at the processing plant, in Dundee, in KwaZulu-Natal, has tested positive for Covid-19.

The employee has been quarantined and referred to a medical practitioner after displaying flu-like symptoms.

Buffalo has requested seven fellow employees to self-isolate and undergo Covid-19 testing.

All possible contact areas have been deep cleaned and other employees have been re-deployed for the time being.

The mining operations are continuing as normal.
