PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Perth-based junior gold miner Beadell Resources is optimistic about reaching its gold sales guidance for the calendar year, as the waste removal continues from the high-grade Duckhead pit, in Brazil.

During the three months to September, gold sales reached 41 468 oz, with Beadell forecasting that the December quarter would deliver about 75 000 oz in gold sales.

Between 45 000 oz and 50 000 oz of gold would be delivered from the remaining Duckhead gold ore during the quarter ahead.

Beadell noted that the Duckhead ore would represent about 10% of the mill feed, which would be supplemented with gold ore concurrently being mined from the existing Tucano openpits.
