BDO Australia Chairman, Helen Argiris, said that Mr Andrawes is in a unique position. “With this appointment, Sherif will be responsible for BDO’s natural resources industry sector which is one of BDO’s most prominent, successful and growing industry sectors globally.”

“Australian clients will benefit further from Sherif’s local knowledge, as well as global insights and increased global network reach. We wish Sherif every success with this important role.”

Sherif succeeds Charles Dewhurst, international liaison partner in Houston at BDO USA.  Charles has held the Global Natural Resources role for the past 12 years and will work with Sherif over the next few months during transition.

"It has never been a more exciting time to work in the natural resources sector, with all the disruptive forces affecting the industry," Sherif said.
