26th January 2016

Company Announcement - In January 2016, Karen Roets joins leading global law firm, Baker & McKenzie in their Johannesburg office.  Karen has extensive experience in advising on all aspects of mining law and focuses on all corporate as well as business development and operations related activities, including corporate restructuring, drafting, negotiating and regulatory advisory.  She is also experienced in employment and intellectual property related matters.

I'm thrilled to welcome her to Baker & McKenzie."

In additional to Karen's appointment, the firm continues to expand with the recent hire of David Davies, an expert in the nuclear energy sector, who joined the firm from Eskom, and Johan Botes and his team who launched the firm's employment law practice in November 2015.
