Toronto-listed Avino Gold & Silver Mines has reported the death of a contractor employee at its namesake mine, in Durango, Mexico.
The company says management and staff are supporting Mexico authorities with their investigation. The accident is not expected to affect production from the Avino mine.
"On behalf of Avino, we extend our sincerest sympathies and support to the families, friends and colleagues of the deceased," said president and CEO David Wolfin.
