PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Junior Anson Resources is ramping up lithium carbonate production from its sample demonstration plant in Florida, to meet demand from potential offtake partners.

The company told shareholders that the ramp-up of the sample production was a key step in Anson’s qualification process with potential offtake partners, as it enables the company to provide samples to potential end-users as part of a structured product supplier qualification process.

Production will continue to increase in order to reach 1 t/d by the end of 2023, sufficient to meet the Stage 1 and 2 supply qualification requirements of potential offtake partners.

Anson told shareholders on Friday that the company was in ongoing discussions with vehicle manufacturers and cathode active material manufacturers as part of the qualification process to secure long-term offtake agreements.

The demonstration plant is using the flowsheet from the Paradox lithium project.

A previously completed definitive feasibility study on the Paradox project estimated that Phase 1 of the project could produce 13 074 t/y of high purity lithium carbonate, delivering revenues of $5.05-billion over its 23 years of operation.
