JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – An employee was killed in a fall-of-ground incident at Anglo American Platinum’s (Amplats’) Rustenburg East mine on August 5.
An investigation into the incident is under way.
“Our sincerest condolences are with the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased who we are assisting and supporting during this very sad time,” Amplats CEO Chris Griffith said on Thursday.
